Worst Nightmare come true

Well its been quite the weekend, which I of course have to share. So we had Jordans sisters little girl with us this weekend, babysitting. Hannah Jordans little niece, has had a few seizures in her life which is due to getting fevers. Well it happened to us while watching her and scared us to death. We were up at my moms pool. Hannah, just out of the blue got a fever and her body could not handle it. She fell over in the water, thankfully she had a life jacket on but would not respond. We quickly got her out of the pool, ripped off her life jacket and by that time she had gone completely blue and not breathing. I rushed inside to grab the phone to call 911 and Jordan started Mouth to Mouth. By the time I got back to the pool Jordan had gotten her to breath again. Hannah was lathargic and not really responding. She was so exhausted from all this that she just fell asleep. Breathing.Thankfully. We obviously called her parents and let them know we were lucky enough to have had this happen to us while watching her. They felt horrible and suggested that we took her into the doctors to see what cause the sudden fever. After 2 hours at the doctors. Nothing. She looked perfectly fine. Well I have been a mess ever since. Hoping and praying that she just doesnt fall over on me. I was lucky that Jordan was there and calm enough to bring her back. It truely is a worst nightmare, someone else's kid in your hands and they stop breathing on you. We feel grateful that everything is ok and her parents get home tonight. Which I will be so glad. Little Hannah is so sweet and we are happy she is ok. Needless to say Ive been so uptight lately but Im so grateful that the Lord was watching over us that day. Even though it seems like it couldnt of been worse it really could have. What if the kids were just playing and Jack didnt know to come tell me. What if we were at the park and she was on top of the slide then it happened. I truly know we were been watched out for that day. So theres my crazy story for the week. Life is so precious and it can be gone in seconds. We all need to give our kids a big hug and kiss and be grateful that they are ok and alive.

OH MY!!! I CAN'T believe that happened to her...and while you guys were babysitting! I don't know what I would've done...I can't even remember all the details of CPR. I'm glad she is going to be okay! Thanks for sharing! I think I need to re-evaluate my life...and get myself prepared for an emergency like that... just in case! I'm glad you were all watched over that day!

Miriam- that is so scary! I am glad that everything is ok! It's amazing how just hearing stories like that makes us all feel very thankful and blessed! It's so easy to get caught up in everything else around us!!

Miriam, how scary! I honestly don't know what I would have done in that situation. I am so glad everything turned out ok.

I can't believe you have a 4 year old! Your kids are so cute! Tell Jordan hi too.

Miriam! That is horrible! I immediately thought about if I would have been able to do mouth to mouth...I need to be updated on all of that! I'm glad it turned out okay! I hope you are all doing well!
